BISAR NA JAJO MERE MEET....

Shree Swaminarayano Vijayatetaram

Though I am not a profound orater (Vakta) . Iwould try my best to explain Bhagwan Swaminarayan's teaching in the best manner I can.

BISAR NA JAJO MERE MEET............(By Premsakhi Premanand swami)

Premanand swami was baptised as premsakhi or loving friend by Shree Hari Himself due to his intense love for god. Although being one of the best poets in Swaminarayan Sampraday, the words in this kirtan show his nirmani vrutti and daasbhaav.

In first two stanzas Premanand swami requests God to show such mercy on him that he never forgets the Almighty lord.He also calls him  meet which means loved one. Such is the affection of his devotees to their lord for whom they can do anything.
Such is the bond of love that God shares with his devotees

Premanand swami further adds in next stanza "I have no brains to even try to understand what you really are but I know just one thing for sure that my good rests only in your hands". When it comes to understanding Shree Hari even He Himself is not capable of decribing the extent of his samarthya .Premanand swami also tells that he believes that only his Lord can do good for him and nobody else.
Premanand swami says that "You might feel shy to hold my hand but I certainly believe that attaining you is the only victory I want to have"

In second stanza
Premanand swami says "I have no such good qualities that can please you My lord because I am filled with lots of bad qualities , vasna ,etc. but I would truly be humiliated if you forgive my avguns(bad qualities) knowingly and accept me as yours "
Premanand swami's dasatvabhakti is represented through these lines. Moreover he staunchly believes that Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan is the true ocean of  mercy (dayasindhu) and that is the reason why He will accept him.

In third stanza
Premanand swami says "I have full faith in You My Lord and that is the reason why I haven't given up my love for You. I dont even mind the criticism of  the people for that matter" these lines show the acuteness of his love that he wouldnt change even if he would have to face the worst of sarcastic comments.

In the begining of fourth and last stanza
Premanand swami refers to Shree Hari as Dinbandhu meaning care taker of poor indirectly he compares himself to a poor person begging for love from god .Lastly Premanand Swami says "I seldom understand any of those scriptures in depth but all I know is that I have faith for You in my heart".

Premanand swami has revealed his daasbhaav in each and every line of this kirtan refering himself with unspeakable titles and still having faith that his beloved Ghanshyam(meet) will certainly grab his hand someday and take him to His divine abode Akshardham.

We must also strive to develop such daasbhaav and nishchay like Premanand swami to be entitled as Ekantik bhakts.
